Class Participation

Course participation (10 % of final grade) will be assessed based on attending class meetings, completing in-class writing assignments, contributing to in-class discussions, and providing written feedback to fellow students during Writers Workshops. Reading quizzes (10 % of final grade) will be given at the beginning of some class periods. Students arriving after the quiz is completed will not be able to take the quiz.

Students with Disabilities

Any student with a documented disability needing academic adjustments or accommodations is requested to speak with course instructors during the first two weeks of class. All discussions will remain confidential. Students with disabilities should also contact Disability Support Services in the Ley Student Center.
