• WEEKLY Response papers: 50%
  Grades for the weekly response papers are based on two principal factors:
  (a) your knowledge and understanding of the topic as demonstrated in the completion of the assignment
  (b) the extent to which your work takes into account the issues addressed in the readings
  
  

• REGULAR Participation in Classroom Discussions: 50%
  Grades for classroom discussion are based on the degree to which your comments reflect:
  (a) an understanding of the readings
  (b) additional insight into the conceptual and related issues raised by the readings
  (c) your ability to intelligently communicate your views on these issues

Any student with a documented disability needing academic adjustments or accommodations is requested to speak with their instructor during the first two weeks of class. All discussions will remain confidential. Students with disabilities will need to also contact Disability Support Services in the Ley Student Center.
