Suggested Problems for Spring 2009
Problem sets are assigned via announcements through the PHYS 102 Owl-Space site. Solutions will be posted to Owl-Space after the due date and these solutions may
be used as a resource for solving pledged
problems.
These problems are from Physics for Scientists and Engineers by Fishbane,
Gasiorowicz and Thornton, 3rd Edition. The problems are listed so that 3-8 means problem 8 from the end of
chapter 3.
Note that unlike for the pledged
problems, for these suggested problems we strongly encourage you
to get as much help as you need to be able to do them -- from fellow students,
in tutorial sessions, or from your instructors.
Those who wish to turn these problems in for credit should do so by
5 pm on the due date in the boxes marked Phys101/102 in the Physics
Lounge.
