Comp 210 Assignments: Fall 2001
When you turn in homework, make sure to
- add your name(s) and id number(s) to the first page;
- indicate your lab section on the first page
(once lab sections are assigned)
(if you and your partner are in different sections, indicate either); and
- if your homework consists of more than one page,
staple all pages together.
Also, be aware of the
The Laws of Homeworks and
grading guidelines.
Late policy:
-
0-24 hrs late: -15% of points possible.
Also, sign your hw, saying that you have not
looked at any posted solutions for that homework.
-
After 24hrs, not accepted.
-
Of course,
homework completed on time (usually the start of class)
can be turned in a bit later,
if you sign your hw with a pledge that it was completed on time.
(Keeping a copy of your solution in your directory comp210/
lets labbies easily check its timestamp (ls -l),
and makes things easier if your hardcopy gets lost in the shuffle.
This directory is set up to be readable by labbies, but not by
the world at large.)
Periodically look up your
recorded
homework scores.
Please let us know of any errors within two weeks.
If you don't have a score for a homework due more than a week ago,
send e-mail to your labby, cc'ing swong@,
asking what's up.
You access this database with the info you submitted
with the
lab-preference form,
back on
hw01.
If you filled out that form late, and thus aren't in the grade database,
you will need to add
yourself to the database. (Only once, of course.)
If we try to add your homework grade to the database but you're not in there,
you will get -10% on that homework.
Old graded homework
can be picked up in Room 3142 of Duncan Hall (by Computer Science Department
offices). The homeworks are sorted by lab times.
