Welcome to my web page! I am the George and Cynthia Mitchell Professor in Sustainable Development at the Department of Economics and a Center for Energy Studies Scholar at the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University. Currently, my main research focus is in Climate Economics, where I study the transition to a sustainable economic growth. I am also involved in interdisciplinary research on the many connections between economics, the environment, conservation, and transportation. Finally, I am interested in non-standard models of cognition and economic decisions. Click on the links below to find more information about me and some of my work.
