Lecture Notes (Transparencies)

These notes reproduce transparencies shown in class.  I hope they will be helpful to you.  The files are in the .pdf format.  You should save such a file on your hard drive and then open it with Acrobat Reader (available on the Rice central server).  If you system is configured properly, you don't really have to save the file first: just click on a note and it will open automatically.  You can then view and even print it, if you'd like.
