Popular Science articles by Scott Solomon
Since discovering an interest in science journalism as a graduate student, I have subsequently written about science for the public in a variety of formats. In 2006, I attended the Santa Fe Science Writing Workshop in which I learned how to hone my writing skills in order to better communicate about science with a lay audience. That same year I wrote several feature-length articles for the university newspaper, The Daily Texan, detailing research by myself and other colleagues at the university and in the community. I have since written articles about recent research for Wired.com, Slate, and Rice Magazine. For several years I also maintained a science themed blog called The Ant Hunter. I hope to continue writing about science in a way that is both accessible and informative to the general public, in the hope that I can contribute to a more scientifically literate society.
