About me

I am a first year graduate student at Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in Rice University. I'm working with Professor Lin Zhong in Rice Efficient Computing Group. My current research focuses on scalability in large-scale MIMO base stations.

I received my bachelors degree from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka specializing in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering. My academic history includes universality awards, national awards for engineering projects, and merit based scholarships.

After graduation I joined ParaQum Technologies, a startup focusing on electronic based product development to continue my final year project thesis project (a group of 4), implementing a real time H.265/ HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) encoder on an FPGA. I lead the HEVC encoder development team in Paraqum since its inception. I resigned from ParaQum in 2017 to pursue higher studies.

In addition I was a consultant application engineer for Wave Computing Inc, an AI based startup in Campbell, CA. My work included software tool-chain and application development for a novel CGRA based processor design.
