Welcome to my web site. I am a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Political Science at Rice University. My reaserch insterest lies in comparative politics with particular focus on legislative politics, political institutions, and Asian Politics. Another field of interest is political methodology. I have papers on computer content analysis and quasi-experimental design.
My dissertation explores how political parties coordinate competing objectives, such as winning the majority with demands from their legislators through a study of two democratic regimes in East Asia, Japan and Taiwan. As a part of my dissertation project, I traveled to these countries to collect electoral, legislative data.
