NICOLE RUGGS HOME RESEARCH CV TEACHING LINKS
Welcome to my webpage!

I am a
fifth year graduate student in I/O Psychology at
Rice University. My main research revolves around the application of social
psychological theory to the examination of prejudice and discrimination in
workplace settings. As such, my research interests encompass three main themes:
1) the manifestation of discrimination toward stigmatized individuals; 2) the
consequences of prejudice and discrimination; and 3) effective strategies to
remediate prejudice and discrimination in organizational settings. I am
interested at understanding the influence and remediation of stigmatization
(which includes both prejudice and discrimination) at both the individual and
organizational level.
In addition to
research, I have a passion for teaching. I have taught
Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Social Psychology. Please explore my
site to learn more about me, my research, and my love of teaching.
