	93-100=A	90-92 = A-
87-89 = B+	83-86 = B	80-82 = B-
77-79 = C+	74-76 = C	70-72 = C-
67-69 = D+	63-66 = D	60-62 = D-

Rewrite Policy

I will allow a rewrite opportunity on Paper One only. You will only have one opportunity to rewrite this paper. I must receive the rewrite within two weeks of the day papers were returned. You will not get a higher grade for simply rewriting the paper; it must be a significant improvement, and I encourage you to meet with me to discuss any problems or questions you have about how to improve your paper. The higher grade is the one that will be recorded. I encourage you to seek assistance with the writing tutor before turning in your paper; do not take this rewrite opportunity as an invitation to not put your best effort forward the first time. I will be happy to look over a draft (for either paper) if you prepare it ahead of the paperís due date.

Note on Film Screenings

When a film is listed on the syllabus as the discussion topic for the day, you are expected to have already seen it. I will host on-campus screenings on dates TBA in class so that you will have an opportunity to view them with the class. As they are outside of class time, these screenings will not be required (and we will not have any type of class discussion with the screenings), and the films will be available on reserve in the library if you are unable to attend. I encourage you to attend if possible, but if not, do realize you are still expected to view the film on your own.
