their behaviors and useful functions. Familiar examples are carbon nanotubes
and graphene, silicon and metal silicide nanowires, boron and its compounds,
2D-layers beyond graphene (nitrides, oxides, sulfides),
macroscopic assemblies in fibers, sheets and exotic architectures… Projects
involve collaborations across the US and worldwide
