Honor Code: Guidelines for BIOS 327

Note: these guidelines apply to the Bios 327 lab course only, guidelines for other courses may differ.

 

Except when explicitly stated otherwise, all of the following are in effect:

All deadlines for turning in material are expected to be met.

The Rice Honor Code allows proper and improper conduct to be defined for each course. Since the learning value of your work in the laboratory is considerably enhanced by appropriate collaboration on data preparation and interpretation, collaboration is allowed and even encouraged. Rules specific to this course are spelled out in detail below. Please read them over carefully. And finally, if your ever have any doubt about whether a potential action is proper or improper, contact the course instructor before you do it.

Written reference material

You may consult the lab manual, reference readings, texts, computer notebooks, review articles, websites and primary sources (published research papers). Any written references used must be properly documented when submitting material to be graded.

Verbal references

You may use lecture material, notes taken during lab, and notes taken during discussions with other students.
