Advanced Instrumentation Laboratory Website.

This course is a 1 credit laboratory course designed for senior bioengineering students. Senior bioengineering students have the option of taking any 2 of 4 senior laboratory course options. All students in the Bioinstrumentation, Imaging and Optics track must take this laboratory course as one of their options.

In this course you will use the NI ELVIS hardware system and LabView software for developing, building and testing an ECG cardiotachometer and abnormality sensor. You will also design a graphical user interface that you will use to control your device and obtain results from your ECG monitor as if you were working in the clinical setting. For this lab, you will be graded primarily on demonstrations of understanding of the material you learn and a final demonstration and users manual of your project. You will work in pairs throughout the class. You will present your final project individually.
