Review:
The internship was a tremendous experience. It really gave me an appreciation of the wide range of opportunities open to bioengineering students. The research I did under my mentor, a grad student pursuing an M.D./Ph.D., furthered my interest in following the same path.

Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in the BME 2006 program and would do it again in a heartbeat. We were exposed to so many different aspects of the medical field that I never would have had the opportunity to see otherwise. We took a gross anatomy course, shadowed ICU, OR, pediatric, OBGYN, internal medicine, and ER doctors, and we were also able to conduct biomedical research.

Review:
I have participated for teo summer, the first was paid and the second was not. The internship is a wonderful combination of research opportunities and clinical experience. It is through UT, Rice and M.D. Anderson. Students go through a cadaver based anatomy course, clinical rotations, and research the first summer, and if they choose, they can come back the next summer and explore one area more.
