MARINE MICROBIAL SYMBIOSIS AND DISEASE  ●  GLOBAL CHANGE

CORAL REEF ECOLOGY  ●  ENVIRONMENTAL VIROLOGY

I am a marine microbial ecologist and educator, working at scales that range from individual microbial strains and host organisms to ecosystems. My primary research interests include the diversity, stability, and function of symbioses; the context-dependent roles of microbes in host health and survival; and the extent to which selection on microbes influences host response to environmental disturbance.
