Stars and Stripes Flying High

by Brock Tautenhahn

I constructed this photoshop masterpiece from two pictures from my family ski trip to Keystone, Colorado. Below is a picture of me taken on one of the slopes on Keystone Mountain, and the other is the view of Keyston Mountain from our condo. I thought that the picture that my sister took of me on the mountain did not do my stature justice, so I decided to make some small alterations.

First, I cut my profile off of this close-up photograph. Then I omitted the spruce trees from the background by using the rubberstamp tool to recreate the sky surrounding me.

Next, I cropped this panoramic picture to exclude some extraneous objects. I then increased the size of the picture so that I had enough clearance to insert myself on the mountain. Finally, I added I personal touch of some American flags to add some color to the picture, and also in lieu of the patroitism that pervades the air here in the Good Ole U.S. of A.
