Where?

Map of locations of people on campus at 2am.

This website is an interactive journey that uses a minimalist approach to explain our findings. The centralized photograph draws the participant's attention and becomes the focal point. These are the unadulterated images of many observants. Each one is a story of context and encounter. They are single images that allow for a dialogue to exist without the need for exuberant text or a confining link. The mission of the site was to withhold the experience of what 2am is by requiring the participant to view multiple images before attempting to create a hypothesis. The mystery of the collaboration is a direct response to those sites that attempt to explain how everything works and think for you. Taken as a whole, the structural integrity of each picture as a developed event dissolves into a statement of disorder throughout the entire campus. 2am is not about one blanketed atmosphere that encompasses a university campus, but rather the multiple facets that create a time unique to others outside of it.
